Ingredients

- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the falafel with olive oil and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with tahini sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or chili powder to the mixture.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
- Leftover falafel can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
