- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each ball in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the mac and cheese balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or herbs to the mac and cheese mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before cooking.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
