Delicious apple cider doughnuts coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for fall.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the apple cider, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the doughnut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the doughnuts cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- While the doughnuts are still warm, coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- For a richer flavor, use fresh apple cider.
- These doughnuts are best enjoyed the same day they are made.
