- For the Pastry:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup cold water
- For the Apple Filling:
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

- In a saucepan, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until apples are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into squares or rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each pastry piece. Fold corners to the center and pinch to seal.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to create the glaze.
- Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm pastries and serve immediately.
