Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread apple pie filling evenly over it.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the filling.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
