Ingredients

Scale
  • Meatballs:
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1/2 pound ground pork
    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Awesome Sauce:
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the Awesome Sauce by combining ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the Awesome Sauce until well coated.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Leftover meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
