Ingredients

These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:

  • ???? 1 box (3 oz) pineapple-flavored Jell-O

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the water
In a small saucepan or kettle, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil.

Step 2: Dissolve the Jell-O
Empty the pineapple-flavored Jell-O into a mixing bowl. Pour the boiling water over it and whisk until completely dissolved—about 2 minutes.

Step 3: Add the booze and juice
Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in:

  • ½ cup coconut rum

  • ¼ cup orange liqueur

  • ¼ cup cold pineapple juice

Step 4: Pour into molds
Use a spoon or measuring cup to pour the mixture evenly into 2 oz plastic cups or silicone molds. Leave a little space at the top for garnish.

Step 5: Chill until firm
Place the shots on a tray or baking sheet for stability. Chill in the refrigerator for 2–4 hours, or until fully set.

Step 6: Garnish and serve
Top each shot with a maraschino cherry, mini umbrella, or fruit skewer. Serve chilled and enjoy immediately!

Notes

These shots are technically uncooked, but here are a few tips to perfect your jello game:

  • Always dissolve the gelatin fully before adding alcohol

  • Let your Jell-O mixture cool slightly before adding alcohol to avoid evaporation

  • Don’t use too much alcohol—keep total liquid at around 1 cup cold + 1 cup hot
