Description

Brie Cheese Bread is a warm, golden loaf that boasts a crispy crust and a soft, gooey interior filled with rich, creamy Brie cheese. Each bite offers a delightful contrast of textures, with the buttery flavor of the cheese melding beautifully with the freshly baked bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Bread:
    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
    • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Filling:
    • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
    • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
    • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the Brie cheese, rosemary, and walnuts evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and place it seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Let it rise for another 30 minutes, then bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
