Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, brown sugar, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat the caramel sauce until warm and pour it over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  8. Sprinkle toffee bits over the top of the cake.
  9. Let the cake cool completely, then top with whipped topping before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, drizzle more caramel sauce on top before serving.
