Description
A deliciously moist poke cake infused with caramel and apple flavors, perfect for fall celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly over the top of the cake.
- In a bowl, mix the whipped topping with ground cinnamon and spread it over the apple filling.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade caramel sauce.
- This cake can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Serve with additional caramel sauce drizzled on top if desired.
