Description
Delicious caramel apple turnovers made with flaky pastry and a sweet apple filling.
Ingredients

- 2 cups of diced apples
- 1/2 cup of caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix diced apples, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts to the apple mixture.
- Serve warm with additional caramel sauce drizzled on top.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
