Caramel Cherry Blast

  • Author: Jessica
  • Total Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients

To prepare a single serving of the Caramel Cherry Blast, you will need:

  • 2 oz caramel vodka (or plain vodka + ½ oz caramel syrup)

  • 1 oz cherry liqueur

  • 2 oz cola

  • 1 oz cream (or half-and-half for a richer texture)

  • Ice (enough to fill the glass halfway)

  • Garnish: maraschino cherry + caramel drizzle

Instructions

Step 1: Chill Your Glass

Start by placing your glass—a rocks glass or short highball—into the freezer for a few minutes. This step is optional but enhances the experience by keeping the drink colder for longer.

Step 2: Drizzle with Caramel

Before you add the liquid, drizzle caramel sauce around the inside of the chilled glass. This creates an eye-catching presentation and adds an extra burst of sweetness with every sip.

Step 3: Add Ice

Fill the glass halfway with ice. Large cubes are best because they melt more slowly, preventing the cocktail from diluting too quickly.

Step 4: Mix the Alcohol Base

In a cocktail shaker, combine the caramel vodka (or vodka with caramel syrup) and cherry liqueur. Shake gently to integrate the flavors.

Step 5: Build the Cocktail

Pour the mixture into your prepared glass over the ice. Add 2 oz of cola, then stir lightly to blend the flavors without losing too much carbonation.

Step 6: Add the Cream

Slowly pour 1 oz cream or half-and-half into the glass. The key here is to pour gently so that the cream floats at the top before it begins to swirl through the drink, creating a layered, marbled effect.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

Top the drink with a maraschino cherry and a final drizzle of caramel sauce. Serve with a straw or a small stirrer so the drinker can choose whether to enjoy the layers or mix them together.

Notes

The Caramel Cherry Blast can be enjoyed in two distinct ways: layered or stirred. If you prefer a striking presentation, let the cream float and settle naturally. If you prefer a smoother, blended texture, stir gently before drinking. Both methods deliver great flavor, so the choice is yours.
