-
???? ½ cup coconut rum – beachy, smooth base
-
???? ½ cup mango or pineapple rum – layered tropical sweetness
-
???? ¼ cup blue curaçao – for citrus flavor and oceanic color
-
???? ½ cup pineapple juice – tangy and bright
-
???? ½ cup mango nectar or orange juice – smooth fruit depth
-
???? ½ cup lemon-lime soda – fizzy finish
-
❄️ Ice – crushed or cubed
-
???? Fresh fruit: pineapple chunks, orange slices, lime wheels – garnish
-
???? Optional: candy stir sticks, rainbow sour belts, or gummy rings
-
???? Optional float: 1 mini bottle of white rum
-
???? 1 small plastic beach bucket (16–32 oz size)
-
???? Paper umbrella, straw, or tropical skewer – optional accessories
Instructions
Step 1: Prep your bucket
Wash and dry your small plastic beach bucket. Fill it halfway with ice—the chill keeps it ultra-refreshing and dilutes the alcohol slightly for easier sipping.
Step 2: Build your drink
In a large measuring cup or cocktail shaker, combine:
-
½ cup coconut rum
-
½ cup mango or pineapple rum
-
¼ cup blue curaçao
-
½ cup pineapple juice
-
½ cup mango nectar or orange juice
Stir to combine well.
Step 3: Pour over ice
Pour the drink mixture into your prepared bucket. Top with ½ cup lemon-lime soda for fizz and balance.
Step 4: Add fun garnishes
Top your drink with fruit slices, candy rings, tropical skewers, or a mini upside-down liquor bottle (optional). Add a large colorful straw or umbrella for flair.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
Drink it cold, fresh, and somewhere with a breeze—or your best island playlist.
Notes
The beauty of this drink is that it’s flexible and forgiving. Follow these notes to perfect your Caribbean Cooler:
-
Chill all liquids beforehand so ice doesn’t water it down too fast
-
Crushed ice gives the best tropical texture
-
Adjust sweetness by using more soda (sweeter) or more juice (fruitier)
