Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the potatoes.
  5. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika; heat until warm.
  6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the layered potatoes and cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
