  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz cherry vodka
    – Brings bold cherry flavor and the base alcohol content.

  • 1 oz sour apple schnapps
    – Adds a tangy green apple twist that mimics the candy’s tangy shell.

  • 1 oz cranberry juice
    – Offers balance and depth while enhancing the red hue.

  • Splash of lemon-lime soda (optional)
    – For extra fizz and sweetness if you want a lighter, effervescent feel.

  • Ice
    – For shaking and chilling the cocktail to perfection.

  • Maraschino cherry (for garnish)
    – A classic candy-like touch.

  • Optional: pop rocks or sugar (for glass rim)
    – Enhances presentation and adds a sensory element with every sip.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Glass

  1. Take a martini glass and chill it in the freezer or fill it with ice water for 5–10 minutes while you prepare the drink.

  2. If you’re using pop rocks or sugar for the rim:

    • Pour the pop rocks or sugar onto a small plate.

    • Rub the rim of the glass with a lemon wedge or a bit of simple syrup.

    • Dip the rim into the pop rocks or sugar and twist to coat evenly.

    • Set the glass aside.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add:

    • 1.5 oz cherry vodka

    • 1 oz sour apple schnapps

    • 1 oz cranberry juice

  3. Shake well for 15–20 seconds, until the shaker is chilled to the touch.

Step 3: Strain and Pour

  1. Discard the ice from your martini glass if you used it to chill the glass.

  2. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.

  3. If desired, top with a splash of lemon-lime soda for a little fizz.

Step 4: Garnish

  • Drop a maraschino cherry into the bottom of the glass.

  • Optionally, add a mini cocktail skewer with two cherries or even a candy lollipop as a whimsical touch.

Notes

The Cherry Blow Pop Martini is a drink with layers—it starts sweet, gets a little tart, and finishes smooth. The cranberry juice tones down the sweetness of the cherry vodka and schnapps, while the optional soda lightens the profile for those who prefer a sparkling twist. Adding a candy rim or pop rocks gives it a multisensory kick that turns heads and delights palates.
