Description

These Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delightful treat, featuring a soft and chewy texture that melts in your mouth. The rich, dark chocolate chips perfectly complement the tartness of the cherries, creating a harmonious balance of flavors that will leave you craving more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dry Ingredients:
    • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 large eggs
  • Add-ins:
    • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
    • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft. They will continue to cook slightly after being removed from the oven.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
