- 1 cup brown sugar, packed

- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Mix the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack and cut into squares.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with a non-dairy alternative. You can also add white chocolate chips or nuts for a twist.
