Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Mix the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle over the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack and cut into squares.
