Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Chicken Kofta:
    • 1 lb ground chicken
    • 1 small onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 tsp ground cumin
    • 1 tsp ground coriander
    • 1/2 tsp paprika
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • 1 egg, beaten
  • For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
    • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into oval-shaped kofta, about 2-3 inches long.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F).
  4. Grill the kofta for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  5. While the kofta is grilling, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt in a bowl.
  6. Once the kofta are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the kofta warm with a generous drizzle of garlic yogurt sauce on top.
