Chili Tot Bake is a hearty and comforting dish that combines chili and tater tots, topped with cheese for a delicious meal.

- 1 can of chili (15 oz)
- 1 bag of frozen tater tots (32 oz)
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of diced onions
- 1/2 cup of diced bell peppers
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
- In a baking dish, spread the can of chili evenly on the bottom.
- Layer the sautéed onions and bell peppers over the chili.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the vegetables.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite toppings like sour cream or jalapeños.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, use spicy chili or add hot sauce.
