Description

Deliciously chewy chocolate caramel oatmeal cookie bars that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  4. Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the pressed mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • These bars can be frozen for longer storage.
