Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Remove the waffles and immediately coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Serve with chocolate or caramel sauce for drizzling.
- These waffles can be made ahead and reheated in the toaster.
