- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- Frosting:

- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fruit Layer:
- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- Garnish:
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- While the cake cools, prepare the frosting by beating the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy.
- Once the cake is cool, cut it into small cubes.
- In a large trifle dish, layer half of the cake cubes, followed by half of the frosting, and half of the mixed berries. Repeat the layers.
- Top with crushed peppermint candies and fresh mint leaves for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
