Description
A warm and creamy dish featuring tender gnocchi enveloped in a rich chicken sauce with cheese and garlic, perfect for comfort food lovers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 16 ounces gnocchi
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float, roughly 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside, saving a bit of pasta water for later.
- Prepare the sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the shredded chicken, heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently and let it simmer, about 5-7 minutes.
- Melt in the cheeses: Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Combine gnocchi and sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi into the skillet, tossing gently to coat each piece in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve: Dish into bowls, garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of broth or cream.
