Dragon Fruit Delight Jello Shots

Ingredients

These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:

🐉 For 18–20 Jello Shots (2 oz cups):

  • 💗 1 (3 oz) box dragon fruit gelatin mix (if unavailable, use pink lemonade or berry-flavored Jell-O and add puréed dragon fruit)

  • 💦 1 cup boiling water

  • 🧊 ½ cup cold water

  • 🥃 ½ cup vodka (plain or citrus-flavored)

  • 🍉 ¼ cup dragon fruit purée (optional but highly recommended for extra flavor and color)

🎀 Optional Garnish & Add-ins:

  • 🐉 Small dragon fruit balls (scooped with melon baller)

  • 🌸 Edible flowers

  • 🍬 Sour gummies or candy pearls

  • 🌟 Edible glitter or shimmer powder

  • 🍋 Tiny lime or lemon zest curls


Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Water

Bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil.

Step 2: Dissolve the Gelatin

In a large bowl, pour the hot water over the dragon fruit gelatin (or berry-flavored gelatin if substituting). Stir for 2 minutes until fully dissolved.

Step 3: Add Liquids

Add cold water, vodka, and the dragon fruit purée (if using). Mix thoroughly to blend all the flavors and maintain smooth texture.

Step 4: Pour into Molds

Using a measuring cup or syringe, pour the mixture evenly into 2 oz plastic shot cups or silicone molds. Fill about ¾ full to allow space for garnish later.

Step 5: Chill to Set

Place cups on a tray and refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until fully set. Avoid disturbing during this time for the cleanest results.

Step 6: Garnish & Serve

Just before serving, top each with dragon fruit balls, edible glitter, or mini candies for extra dazzle

Notes

These shots are stunning and foolproof, but here’s how to make them perfection every time:

  • 🧊 Use chilled vodka – Helps keep the mixture cool for better setting.

  • 🧪 Don’t over-stir – Too much air will lead to bubbles or foam on top.

  • ❄️ Set flat in fridge – Use a baking sheet to transport and chill without spills.

  • 🍸 Want them stronger? Try ⅔ cup vodka and ⅓ cup water (they’ll be softer and stronger).
