Easy Taco Cups are a delightful fusion of crispy taco shells filled with juicy, seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch followed by a burst of savory flavors, making them an irresistible snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Taco Cups:
    • 1 package of wonton wrappers (1214 pieces)
    • Cooking spray (for greasing)
  • For the Filling:
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
    • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
    • 1/4 cup sour cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  3. Press each wonton wrapper into the muffin tin, forming a cup shape.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add taco seasoning to the beef and stir well, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Fill each wonton cup with the seasoned beef mixture, then top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the wonton wrappers are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before adding diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and a dollop of sour cream on top.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can prepare the filling a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator.
  • Storage: Store leftover taco cups in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Substitutions: Ground turkey or chicken can be used instead of beef for a lighter option.
