Electric Flamingo Cocktail

  • Author: Jessica
  • Total Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients

These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:

  • ???? 1½ oz vodka or gin – smooth spirit base with subtle warmth

  • ???? 1 oz pineapple juice – tropical sweetness

  • ???? 1 oz watermelon juice or pink lemonade – adds fresh fruit character

  • ???? ½ oz raspberry liqueur (like Chambord) – for color and depth

  • ???? ½ oz freshly squeezed lemon juice – to balance the sweetness

  • ???? Crushed ice – for chill and dilution

  • Splash of soda water or lemon-lime soda – to top and add fizz

  • ???? Edible flower, rock candy stick, or lemon twist – for garnish

  • ???? Optional pinch of pink salt or Tajín – for the glass rim

Instructions

Step 1: Chill the glass
Place a coupe, martini, or highball glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare your cocktail.

Step 2: Prepare the shaker
Fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Add vodka (or gin), pineapple juice, watermelon juice or pink lemonade, raspberry liqueur, and lemon juice.

Step 3: Shake it like a flamingo dancing
Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. You want everything cold and lightly frothy.

Step 4: Prepare your glass
Discard the ice water or remove the glass from the freezer. If rimming the glass, gently wet the rim with lemon juice and dip it into pink salt or Tajín.

Step 5: Strain and pour
Strain the cocktail into your glass filled with fresh crushed ice (or serve straight-up if using a coupe).

Step 6: Add the fizz and flair
Top with a splash of soda water or lemon-lime soda. Garnish with an edible flower, lemon twist, or candy stick. Serve with a funky straw and flamingo stirrer if you have one!

Notes

This cocktail is forgiving and playful. But a few tips will help elevate it:

  • Use fresh citrus juice—bottled lemon or lime juice dulls the flavor.

  • For intense pink color, lean on raspberry liqueur or add a drop of natural pink food coloring.

  • Adjust tartness by tweaking the lemon juice—more lemon for zing, less for sweetness.
