Electric Island Punch

  • Author: Jessica
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

For the Punch (Serves 6–8):

  • 1 ½ cups coconut rum (Malibu or similar)

  • 1 cup vodka (plain or citrus-flavored)

  • ¾ cup blue curaçao

  • 2 cups pineapple juice

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 1 ½ cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7UP)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Ice (as needed)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Pineapple wedges

  • Lemon wheels

  • Maraschino cherries

  • Gummy candies or sour belts

  • Drink umbrellas, glow sticks, or LED stirrers for a fun, electric look

Instructions

Step 1: Chill Your Ingredients

Before mixing, ensure that all your juices and soda are well chilled. This keeps the drink refreshing without watering it down too much with ice.

Step 2: Combine the Spirits

In a large punch bowl or pitcher, pour:

  • 1 ½ cups of coconut rum

  • 1 cup of vodka

  • ¾ cup of blue curaçao

Stir gently to mix the alcohols.

Step 3: Add the Juices

Pour in the:

  • 2 cups pineapple juice

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • Juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon

Mix until evenly combined.

Step 4: Top with Soda

Right before serving, gently pour in:

  • 1 ½ cups of lemon-lime soda

Stir lightly to keep the fizz intact.

Step 5: Fill with Ice

Add plenty of ice to the punch bowl or serving glasses. The more ice, the longer your punch stays chilled without losing flavor.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

Ladle into cocktail glasses or plastic cups. Top with:

  • Pineapple wedges or lemon wheels on the rim

  • Cherries or gummy candy for fun

  • Glow sticks or drink umbrellas to fit the party vibe

Notes

The Electric Island Punch was inspired by beach clubs and summer music festivals. It’s made to impress in both appearance and taste. The coconut rum and pineapple juice bring smooth, tropical tones, while the blue curaçao adds not just its electric color, but a subtle orange-citrus note that enhances the punch.

Use citrus-flavored vodka (like lemon or orange) for extra zest if desired. For large crowds, you can easily double or triple the recipe—just keep the ratios intact for the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and boozy.
