- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
- 1 package of chocolate wafer cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur.
- Dip each chocolate wafer cookie into the espresso mixture for a few seconds.
- Layer the dipped cookies in a rectangular dish, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, use a darker roast espresso.
- Make sure the espresso is completely cooled before dipping the cookies.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
