Fishbowl Cocktail Shot

  • Author: Jessica
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:

  • 🥃 ½ oz vodka (plain or flavored like citrus or tropical)

  • 🥃 ½ oz blue curaçao

  • 🍍 ½ oz pineapple juice

  • 🧃 Splash of lemon-lime soda or club soda (for fizz)

  • ❄️ Ice for shaking

  • 🐟 Swedish Fish candies or gummy fish (for garnish)

  • 🌴 (Optional) Splash of coconut rum for beachy flair

  • 🍭 (Optional) Crushed Nerds candy for glass rim or base of the shot glass

Instructions

Step 1: Chill your shot glasses
Pop your shot glasses in the freezer for about 10 minutes before serving to get that icy-cold feel.

Step 2: Add candy
Drop 1–2 Swedish Fish candies into each shot glass. If you’re going all-out, sprinkle Nerds candy into the bottom for a colorful seabed effect.

Step 3: Mix the shot
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine:

  • ½ oz vodka

  • ½ oz blue curaçao

  • ½ oz pineapple juice

  • (Optional) Splash of coconut rum

Step 4: Shake it like the ocean waves
Shake for 15 seconds until well-chilled and slightly frothy.

Step 5: Pour and fizz
Strain the mixture into your prepared shot glasses, then top with a splash of lemon-lime soda for a fun, fizzy finish

Notes

While no actual cooking is involved, these party-ready tips will ensure every shot is a hit:

  • Always use cold ingredients to avoid ice dilution.

  • Shake vigorously to aerate the shot and enhance texture.

  • Pre-garnish glasses ahead of time if making a big batch.
