- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and shredded cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the egg mixture to the macaroni and cheese, mixing until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each ball in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium heat.
- Fry the balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or herbs to the cheese mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
