  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and airy.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla, beating until smooth.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until just combined.
  7. Spread the dough evenly in the baking dish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
  10. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth for frosting.
  11. Spread frosting over the cooled bars and top with sprinkles.
  12. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

You can substitute coconut oil for butter or use gluten-free flour for a different version.
