Description
Frozen Snowball Punch is a frosty, creamy winter drink perfect for holidays! Sweet, fun, and festive—great for parties, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve.
Ingredients
These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:
-
🍍 1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice, chilled
-
🥥 1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut (such as Coco Lopez or Goya)
-
🍋 2 cups lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up), chilled
-
🍨 4–5 scoops vanilla ice cream or coconut sherbet (for “snowballs”)
-
❄️ 1–2 cups crushed ice (optional, for blending)
-
🌟 Optional garnish: sweetened shredded coconut, maraschino cherries, pineapple wedges, or edible glitter
Instructions
Step 1: Mix the liquids
In a large bowl or pitcher, whisk together the pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and lemon-lime soda until fully combined and smooth. Chill for at least 1 hour if not serving immediately.
Step 2: Prepare your presentation
If using a punch bowl, chill the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes so it helps keep the drink cold longer. If you want to serve in glasses, frost the rims with coconut flakes or sugar for a festive touch.
Step 3: Add the “snowballs”
Right before serving, add scoops of vanilla ice cream or coconut sherbet to the punch. These will float like snowballs on top and gradually melt into the drink, making it even creamier.
Step 4: Stir gently and serve
Stir gently to distribute the sherbet or ice cream slightly without breaking it down completely. Serve immediately in chilled glasses or cups. Add fun straws, stir sticks, or tiny umbrellas!
Step 5 (Optional): Make it frozen
If you want a slush-style punch, add everything (except soda) to a blender with crushed ice and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and top with a splash of soda and a scoop of sherbet.
Notes
This punch is extremely forgiving and doesn’t require exact measurements. However, for best results:
-
Use cream of coconut, not coconut milk—the cream is sweet and thick.
-
Chill all ingredients thoroughly before mixing to keep the punch icy cold.
-
Add soda just before serving so it stays fizzy.
-
If using ice cream, choose full-fat for maximum creaminess.
-
If blending, use crushed ice to avoid watering down the drink.
