Description

Ingredients

  • Pasta: 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • Steak: 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Shrimp: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Garlic Butter Sauce: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 4 cloves garlic, minced, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, juice of 1 lemon, salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak pieces to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet, add the cooked pasta, lemon juice, and parsley, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • This dish can be made ahead by preparing the steak and shrimp separately and storing them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • For a lighter version, substitute the butter with olive oil and use whole wheat pasta.
