Ingredients
- Pasta: 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
- Steak: 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Shrimp: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Garlic Butter Sauce: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 4 cloves garlic, minced, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, juice of 1 lemon, salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak pieces to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Return the steak to the skillet, add the cooked pasta, lemon juice, and parsley, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead by preparing the steak and shrimp separately and storing them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- For a lighter version, substitute the butter with olive oil and use whole wheat pasta.
