Description

This Glazed Ham is an inviting centerpiece, perfect for celebrations with its sweet, sticky glaze and tender meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the ham by scoring the surface in a diamond pattern.
  3. Mix the glaze by combining brown sugar, honey, orange juice, pineapple juice, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger.
  4. Glaze the ham generously with the mixture.
  5. Bake the ham in a roasting pan covered with aluminum foil for about 15-18 minutes per pound, basting every 30 minutes.
  6. Uncover and bake for the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  7. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer, ensuring it reaches 140°F.
  8. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Make the glaze a day ahead for better flavor. Ensure to baste frequently for a juicy outcome.
