- 2 cups macaroni
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add flour to make a roux.
- Slowly whisk in milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Add cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and salt; stir until cheese is melted.
- In another pan, cook diced chicken until golden brown, then add honey and black pepper.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Top with honey pepper chicken and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Can substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
