Description

Honeydew Sago is a delightful dessert made with honeydew melon, sago pearls, and coconut milk, offering a refreshing taste perfect for warm weather.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 ripe honeydew melon, diced
  • 1 can (400ml) coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sago pearls under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the sago pearls.
  3. Cook the sago pearls for about 10-15 minutes until they become translucent, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once cooked, drain the sago and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the diced honeydew melon with the cooked sago.
  6. In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt until the sugar dissolves.
  7. Allow the coconut milk mixture to cool slightly before combining it with the sago and honeydew mixture.
  8. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
