Description

Aromatic beef meatballs simmered in a rich coconut curry sauce, delivering warm spices and delightful flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Rice or flatbread for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well integrated. Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
  2. Heat a drizzle of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, browning them for about 5-7 minutes on all sides until golden.
  3. Remove the meatballs and set them aside on a plate.
  4. Pour the coconut milk and diced tomatoes into the same skillet, stir in the curry powder, and let it bubble gently.
  5. Return the browned meatballs to the pan, ensuring they are submerged in the mixture. Cover the skillet and allow them to simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Serve the Kofta Curry Beef Meatballs over jasmine rice or with warm flatbread, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, cook the meatballs in an air fryer or bake them in the oven. Adjust spices to suit your taste.
