Lemon Shortcake Martini

Ingredients

  • 🍋 1.5 oz lemon vodka (or regular vodka + ½ tsp lemon zest)

  • 🍰 1 oz cake vodka or vanilla vodka

  • 🥄 0.5 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 🍬 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

  • 🥛 1 oz Irish cream liqueur or white chocolate liqueur

  • 🧊 Ice cubes, for shaking

  • 🌟 Crushed graham crackers or shortbread cookies, for glass rim

  • 🍋 Lemon wedge, for rimming and garnish

  • 🍦 Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

  • 🍰 Mini lemon cookie or cake cube, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Glass

Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass, then dip it into crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs to create a dessert-like rim. Chill the glass while preparing the cocktail.

Step 2: Add Liquids to a Shaker

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the lemon vodka, cake vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and Irish cream liqueur.

Step 3: Shake It Up

Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well-chilled and lightly frothy. The shaking helps combine the cream with the citrus elements without curdling.

Step 4: Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into your prepared martini glass. The frothy top and pale yellow color should resemble the creaminess of shortcake.

Step 5: Garnish

Top with whipped cream (if using) and garnish with a lemon wedge, a twist of peel, or a small piece of lemon shortcake on a skewer for an over-the-top dessert vibe.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice can be too bitter or acidic.

  • Shake thoroughly to blend the creamy and citrus ingredients smoothly.

  • If the cream liqueur curdles (rare), switch to a white chocolate liqueur or use heavy cream instead.
