Instructions

Step 1:
Prepare your shot glass. If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim and dip in toasted coconut flakes for a textured, flavorful edge.

Step 2:
In a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice, add 1 oz coconut rum, ½ oz lime juice, ½ oz cream or coconut cream, and ½ oz vanilla vodka (if using). For a sweeter touch, add ¼ oz of simple syrup.

Step 3:
Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

Strain the mixture into the prepared shot glass.
