Ingredients
These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:
-
🍋 2 oz limoncello – the star of the show, sweet and zesty Italian liqueur
-
🍪 1 oz amaretto – brings almond flavor reminiscent of biscotti
-
🥛 1 oz vanilla vodka – smooth base with sweet depth
-
🍦 1 oz heavy cream or half-and-half – adds richness and creaminess
-
🧊 Ice cubes – for shaking and chilling
-
🍬 Crushed biscotti or graham crackers – optional rim garnish
-
🍋 Lemon zest – optional garnish for brightness
-
🍪 Mini biscotti – perfect as a drink stirrer or on the side
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare your glass
Optional but beautiful: Rim a chilled martini glass with lemon juice and dip into crushed biscotti or graham cracker crumbs. Set aside or place in freezer while mixing. - Step 2: Assemble the ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add: -
2 oz limoncello
-
1 oz amaretto
-
1 oz vanilla vodka
-
1 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
-
Ice cubes (enough to fill half the shaker)
- Step 3: Shake it like biscotti crumbs
Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker feels cold to the touch. This emulsifies the cream and fully chills the mixture. - Step 4: Strain and pour
Strain the cocktail into your prepared martini glass. Watch that luscious creamy lemon color fill the glass! - Step 5: Garnish and serve
Top with a twist of lemon zest, a dusting of crushed biscotti, or even a whole biscotti perched on the rim. Serve immediately and enjoy every sip.
Notes
These martinis are luxurious and forgiving, but here are some notes to keep in mind:
-
Use cold ingredients to ensure the cream doesn’t curdle.
-
Shake, don’t stir—shaking emulsifies the cream and creates a velvety texture.
-
If you don’t have vanilla vodka, mix plain vodka with a few drops of vanilla extract.
-
Garnishes matter—they add flavor, texture, and presentation appeal.
