- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce and stir until melted.
- Combine the cooked macaroni and lobster meat with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
