Ingredients

  • 6 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the torn croissant pieces to the egg mixture and gently fold to combine.
  4. If using, fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
