???? 2 oz tonic water – adds effervescence and causes the drink to glow under blacklight
-
✨ Optional: ¼ tsp edible shimmer dust for a glowing, swirling effect

???? Ice – crushed or cubed
-
???? Garnish: Glow stick stirrer, neon straw, lemon wedge, or rock candy stick
-
???? Optional Top-Off: Lemon-lime soda for added fizz and sweetness
Instructions
Step 1: Chill your glass
Pop a highball or Collins glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water while you prepare the mix.
Step 2: Build the drink
In a shaker filled with ice, combine:
-
1 oz citrus vodka
-
1 oz blue curaçao
-
½ oz sour mix or lemon-lime juice blend
Shake well for 15 seconds until frosty cold.
Step 3: Strain into the glass
Discard the ice water from the chilled glass and fill it with fresh ice. Strain the mix over the ice.
Step 4: Add the glow!
Pour in 2 oz of tonic water. Stir gently. Add edible shimmer if using—it will swirl and sparkle beautifully.
Step 5: Garnish and serve
Add a neon stirrer, glow stick, or citrus twist. Serve under blacklight for the full glowing effect!
Notes
-
Use tonic water, not club soda—only tonic contains quinine, which causes the glowing effect under UV light.
-
Tonic can be bitter on its own, so balance with citrus vodka and a touch of sugar or sour mix.
-
For best visual results, serve in a clear glass with plenty of ice.
