Ingredients
These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:
-
???? 2 oz fresh peach puree or peach nectar – the star ingredient, fresh or high-quality canned works too
-
???? 1 oz fresh lemon juice – adds brightness and balance
-
???? ½ oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and warm water) – for natural sweetness
-
???? 2 oz vodka, gin, or bourbon – your choice of spirit base
-
???? Ice cubes, as needed
-
???? Top with sparkling wine or club soda (optional for bubbles)
-
???? Fresh mint or basil leaves, for garnish
-
???? Thin peach slices, for garnish
-
???? Simple syrup (optional, to adjust sweetness)
Instructions
Step 1: Make your honey syrup
Mix equal parts honey and warm water. Stir until fully dissolved. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare peach puree
If using fresh peaches, peel and pit 2 ripe peaches and puree in a blender until smooth. If using nectar, measure directly.
Step 3: Shake the cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, add:
-
2 oz peach puree or nectar
-
1 oz fresh lemon juice
-
½ oz honey syrup
-
2 oz vodka, gin, or bourbon
-
Ice cubes to fill
Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well chilled and combined.
Step 4: Strain and serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with ice cubes.
Step 5: Add bubbles and garnish
Top with sparkling wine or club soda if desired for a fizzy touch. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or basil and thin peach slices on the rim.
Notes
-
Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor; underripe or canned peaches can be too tart or bland.
-
Fresh lemon juice brightens the cocktail and balances sweetness—never use bottled lemon juice.
-
Honey syrup gives a natural, floral sweetness and blends better than raw honey.
