- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough discard and warm water, stirring until smooth.
- Add the sugar and instant yeast, letting it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
