These Quick Jumbo Dinner Rolls are a soft, buttery delight that melt in your mouth. With a golden-brown crust and a fluffy interior, each bite offers a warm, comforting experience that pairs perfectly with any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Dough:
    • 4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs
  • For the Topping:
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the instant yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs and salt into the mixture, then gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can prepare the dough a day in advance and refrigerate it after the first rise. Bring it to room temperature before shaping.
  • Storage: Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Substitutions: Use whole wheat flour for a healthier option or almond milk for a dairy-free version.
