Ingredients
These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:
-
???? 1 cup dragonfruit puree (pink variety for vibrant color; use fresh or frozen and blended)
-
???? 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice – about 6–8 lemons
-
???? ½ cup honey or agave syrup – or simple syrup to taste
-
???? 3 cups cold water – for dilution
-
❄️ Ice cubes – as needed for serving
-
???? Mint leaves – optional garnish
-
???? Lemon slices or wheels – for garnish
-
???? Edible flowers or dragonfruit cubes – optional but stunning!
Instructions
Step 1: Make dragonfruit purée
If using fresh dragonfruit, scoop out the flesh and blend until smooth. If using frozen dragonfruit, thaw and blend until puréed. You want about 1 cup of smooth, pourable fruit.
Step 2: Juice your lemons
Squeeze lemons to yield about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and excess pulp for a smoother drink.
Step 3: Sweeten the base
In a large pitcher, stir together the lemon juice and sweetener of choice (honey, agave, or simple syrup). Adjust sweetness to taste.
Step 4: Add the dragonfruit and water
Stir in the dragonfruit purée and 3 cups cold water. Mix thoroughly until the drink is uniform and beautifully pink.
Step 5: Serve and garnish
Fill glasses with ice. Pour in the dragonfruit lemonade and garnish with lemon wheels, mint sprigs, dragonfruit chunks, or edible flowers.
