Ingredients
These ingredients come together to form a powerhouse of flavor:
-
???? 1.5 oz vodka or gin (vodka for smoothness, gin for a botanical twist)
-
???? 1 oz elderflower liqueur (like St-Germain)
-
???? 0.75 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed for brightness)
-
???? 0.75 oz pineapple juice (adds tropical depth)
-
???? 0.5 oz blue curaçao (for citrus notes and vibrant hue)
-
???? 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
-
???? Ice (for shaking)
-
???? Fresh thyme or edible flowers (for garnish)
-
???? Lemon twist or wheel (optional garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Chill your glass
Pop a coupe or martini glass in the freezer, or fill it with ice and water while you prep the drink.
Step 2: Prep your shaker
In a cocktail shaker, combine:
-
1.5 oz vodka or gin
-
1 oz elderflower liqueur
-
0.75 oz lemon juice
-
0.75 oz pineapple juice
-
0.5 oz blue curaçao
-
0.25 oz simple syrup (optional, if you prefer a sweeter sip)
Step 3: Shake it down
Add a generous handful of ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.
Step 4: Strain & serve
Discard the ice in your glass. Strain the cocktail into your chilled glass using a fine mesh strainer for a smooth, silky pour.
Step 5: Garnish with style
Top with a fresh thyme sprig, edible flower, or lemon twist. For extra drama, gently slap the thyme to release aroma before adding.
Notes
While this isn’t a cooking recipe per se, there are still a few important notes:
-
???? Shake well to aerate the juices and liqueurs and balance the sweetness.
-
???? Pineapple juice provides both acidity and body—don’t omit it!
-
???? Use good-quality curaçao to avoid an artificial taste.
