Ingredients

  • Beef: 3 pounds of chuck roast, trimmed and cut into large chunks
  • Spices: 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon salt
  • Liquids: 1 cup beef broth, 1/2 cup pepperoncini juice
  • Vegetables: 1 cup sliced pepperoncini, 1 medium onion, sliced
  • Bread: 6 hoagie rolls, sliced
  • Cheese: 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the chunks of chuck roast.
  3. Place the beef in the slow cooker and add the sliced onion, pepperoncini, beef broth, and pepperoncini juice.

  5. Once cooked, shred the beef using two forks and stir it back into the juices.
