Description
A delicious and easy recipe for slow cooker pulled pork served with a refreshing apple slaw.
Ingredients

- 3–4 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 apples, julienned
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pour over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
- Remove the pork and shred it with two forks.
- In a separate bowl, combine apples, cabbage, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper to make the slaw.
- Serve the pulled pork on buns topped with apple slaw.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork overnight with the spices.
- Adjust the sweetness of the slaw by adding more or less honey.
- Serve with pickles for added crunch.
